This Independence Day weekend, you will be invited to reflect on what being an American—"a patriot"— means to you as a follower of Jesus Christ. A time of “Shared Reflections” in lieu of sermon will be an opportunity for many of you to briefly share your thoughts. The morning scripture is from Luke 20:20-25. You are encouraged to read and reflect on it ahead of time and to consider what "give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's" means for us in these times.
